I seriously do hope that you either have a local library with this fabulous graphic novel in it, or you own it yourself. Personally, my local library has messiah compleX and it pisses me off because i want it. This is better than messiah. So, role call time! I love this part. Who have we got?
The good guys:
Cable and Hope.
Xmen. This volume collects Uncanny Xmen as well as Xmen legacy, if I can be helpful to add.

Even Leigion...also known as Charles Xaviers' epicly powerful skitsofrenic mutant son.
Even the Avengers pop in for a bit, as well as X-club. Can someone please tell me what Dr Nemisiss's mutant power is??? I never see him DO anything.
Then, like you can guess our baddies.

So: Basic storylines.
This is the volume - collecting Xmen second coming: prepare, X-men: second coming #1-2, Uncanny X-men #523-525, New mutants #12-14, X-men legacy #235-237, and X-force #26-28 - Is the story of Cable returning from the future with a now "ready" Hope, the Mutant Messiah, to the Xmen to save the past. And a whooole loada shit goes down.
The volume begins with a chapter from Prepare with Roxy *who is that?* filming other mutants, such as Magneto, Cable, Cyklops and iceman, to ask "where were you". Not too much.
It then shows, as i put in the pic above for Hope/Cable, the pair arriving at the totaled Xavier instatute.
Almost imeadiatly after, theses guys show up:
The "Smilies". (Cameron Hodges guys)
At Utopia theres a meetig going down, Scott mentions Meld's death, typically Namour states "And this..."Meld" is worth noting why, Summers?".
Scott is obviously stressed because as soon as everyone leaves, he blasts a hole in the wall.
Two of the Cuckoo's come in to tell him that Cerebra has picked up a new mutant, one that already has a match.
Its Cable. Cyk puts into action a plan: Dom and vanisher at San Fransisco, Rogue and Namor at utopia in case of attack, Canninballs team minus Magik in the blackbird and his Alpha roster + Magic + Pixie to move out in 5.
Back at the masion, Cable trashes the Smilies, there were only... about 4/5/6 of them? No less than five and no more than 6/7 i think. Then these guys apear:
Aaaand they gap it.
Back at Utopia, Scott has a heart to heart with Kurt then they teleport (Magik) to Xaviers instatute, nutrally Cables long gone.
Pixie see's the Smilies, comenting "Why are they Smiling? That's just creepy." Magic responds "They must be happy to see you, Megan." Pixie mutters "Your creepy too."
Wolverine silences X for telling who they are, and gets the scent of cable and the girl.
They find them on the road in a red truck, The masked guys... maybe purifiers i think?... are on their trail... then...
The Alpha team trashes them. Might i just take the time here to add that X23 is brilliant.
They kill them all and save two for questioning, Phsylocke cannot read their minds because they have some sort of electrical interferance. They saved two, but to proove a point X...well...
Slices him. Kurt isn't impressed.
In Washington, bastion is speaking with his main men: Steven Lang, Bolivar Trask, William Stryker, Graydon Creed, and Cameron Hodge. He commands them to ... as he put it, "the mutant messiah is here. Kill her."
Next, Hope and Cable rob a general store.
Kurt puts two and two together and figures that Logan and Scott know something, and figures out zbout X-force, the black opps brilliance. He damands to talk to Scott. Scott explains to him, and feels kinda bad.
Elsewhere, Scott checks in via hologram to the blackbird 2, Cypher tells him of the robbed general store and gives Cables whereabouts.
He and Hope check into a hotel, which obviously Hope has never been to one before.
Reverand Stryker cuts them off and goes in for the kill. Scott has found them already, and Wolverine makes a comment of "remind me never to try an' hide from you, slim"
Hope and cable shoot it up until Collossus throws Wolvie in.
Cannonballs team dropps off overtop Cameron Hodges bass.
Theres a shitload of Smilies. Cameron Hodge has an Army.
The purifiers have Magik sucked back to Limbo
And do something to Kurt, obviously the teleporters are the targets because they're being reffered to as blue and white devils.
Cable drives away in a pickup truck with Hope.
Cannonballs team begins taking out the smiilies, Karma beggining by going into one of their guy's heads and shooting everything around her.
Shockingly, Cameron has his "crainium transplanted"
And clicked into this thing.
Back with the Alpha team, Angel goes Archangel and cuts of strykers hands before slitting him in half from the waist. Once again, cue "No!" from Kurt.
Logan calls in Ariel as back up teleporter.
At utopia something is up with Rogue...and one of Dangers patients...
And Karma's leg is chopped off.
Now its all "get Karma out and finish Smilies.
Ariel takes Rogue in to the Alpha sqaud, who are onto Cables trail, and Kurt teleports off with Rogue.
The Telepaths back at Utopia get a bit of psonic feedback...ay chance thats on purpose?
And the Alien "Self" takes out the rest of Cannonballs teams battle.
drainig them out.
elswhere with the Alpha team:
Logan and X's car is blown up, killing Ariel , Warren slices through the plane that blew it up.
Wolvie and X emerge, burnt to a crisp, but state they will be fine.
At Utopia Pixie insists to Scott to send her in, he refuses.
The Alian Kills Cameron Hodge,
and the alpha team save Cables ass from being surrounded in a trailer park, even though he instsits he had 7 exits.
Rogue takes a loan of some powers...
And she and Hope teleport off with Nightcrawler.
Karma is screaming her head off on the blackbird, now they're coming home, and Scott speaks with Dr Nemisis at Utopia, Scot states to Prodigy "we;re being attacked."
NO SHIT O_o
The Alpha team gives Cable a hand, they're being attacked again, and Bastion confronts Hope and her two companions. Kurt saves her ass.
And dies.
But before he does, he tells her she's worth it and that he beleives in her...
Awwww... :'(
Bastion rebuilds himself, yea being dameged doesn;t make a diference to him.
Back at Utopia, alot of talking.
I love Hopes facials when Cable tells her... "This i Scott Summers. They call him Cyclops, ad he...he's my father." Hope: "Whoa."
In Danger's room, Danald Peirce is gone, but she still thinks he;s there.
he;s talking with Bastion at that very moment.
Hope meets magneto.
At Kurts funeral Beast shouts at Cyk, and wolverine is pretty pissed too.
In San Fransisco *we nearly forgot about these guys*
Dom is speaking to Cyk, and Vanisher overhears that teleporters are the prime target.
He goes to leave but Dom hears the crash, and comes out to find him looking for "his wallet" as he excused himself.
Dom puts a gun to his head and tells him to go back and protect the messiah, he replies...
"Messiah? Messiah? DO I LOOK LIKE I GO TO CHURCH?!"
And she breaks his nose.
He teleports of to portugal, to fid his girls all dead, and
"Look at me. I want you to know who killed you. I'm Steven Lang.Goodbye" And Stevens men shoot him.
He telleports off to a beach somewhere and mutters "my girls... how'd Bastion know about my girls..." dying.
At Utopia Sick bay Self the Alien is sulking, and San fransisco The X-club gets to Bastions oil rig.
And hope and moonstar get into a bit of a tiff.
Donald Peirce starts a fire, and Namor says: "take him apart".
And litterally does, he rips his arm off.
Scott figures out they are now trapped at Utopia, and X-club is about to get blown up by a bomb.
Hope Tells Cable that she lied about being ready.
And the Big red bubble apears. A massive Sphere cutting off the island form everywhere. No one can get around it. Its impossible to break.
The avengers apear
They cannot break it.
from a porthole in the centre starts arriving sentinels!
From the future...
Now, X-force #27. Epic fight scenes! No speak, just great art!
Hellio looses his hands...they just crack and break apart.
Domino *hay, howd she get here from San fran?* saves wolvie with a bullet to the sentinels eye.
Rogue goes crazy on another sentinel elswhere.
Even Namor is bleeding. He looks mad.
Surge cradels hellion, who is out cold with open eyes.
And cable and X-force go to the future to fight where the sentinels are coming from.
Doing so, kiling them all as they won't be able to get back,
cue hope:
"YOU SON OF A BITCH!" she screams at cyk and runs away with glowing red eyes.
The avengers and fantastic four puzzle over the dome, which is actually a sphere, and the mutants fight for their lives inside.
Cable, X-force and Cypher find everyone is dead in the future,
and Xavier goes to get his sons help.
Scott gives a speech to all the Utopian mutants: ending with fight or die.
Hope wants to go out, and Rogue, who is protecting her comes too.
Collossuss' arm is broken. WOW.
And The future team suicide mission take out the guards to get to the sentinels.
David takes out a few random persona's, and Scott and a few others come out screaming "Xmen, wo hold this bridge"... in case i did not mention, the whole battle is going down on a big red bridge.
Xforce run into a giant sentinel.,
and more sentinels come and take out a few mutants who were trying to leave without fighting, but were stopped by toad *who is absolutly refusing to be a part of the xmen*
Magneto gets up from the sick bay, and goes to fight.
The battles go on, past and present. Douge stops the sentinel, but is injured, and it all stops. Magneto is trashed, bloody and battered, telling the children who help him up "did i ever tell you--that your destiny-- --is to inherit the earth?"
Cable gets the X-force, injured, back, then explodes. HIs tech couldnt take another jump.
Laura had tried jumping through the bridge and was shatterd, Dom is holding her, and Hope is screaming about "Nathaaaaaannnnnn!!"
Bastion comes in, and there is another fight. Hope unleashes her mutant gift: she is every mutant power...ever...
And she cleans up.
She sets down and cuddles up to nathans right arm, all that is left of him.
Hope is passed out and comes to in the sick bay, which is full.
She talks to magneto, and Speaks at Cables funeral. Scott can't get past the words "Nathan, My son.." before crying. Also, deadpools there. Where was he for this?
Scott removes Rogue from the roster, for breaking rules and taking hope out.
Wolvie kicks X out of X-force to try and get her to do her own work, rather tha what she's told to do.
And forms a new X-force team, with Scott htinking its all stopped...
YOu can find these guys in Uncanny X-force.
Emma finds Hope, who is playing with fire and looks a bit Pheonixy, and runs off to Scott, who finds new mutants popping up everywhere.
"we were right"
he says.

NO kidding, this is re readable, entertaining, great art.
Bad? No deadpool sadly, but oh well. he is still shown twice, but just standing around.
This is a great read, expensive, but great read.
