Marvel: Marvels.
Is it a gallery of Marvel characters? No. Is it a badly done spiderman? Nope. Could it be some sort of explanitory dictionary to the genius behind marvel?
NO WAY!
This, is the very first of the sort i have ever read...by Marvel or DC...maybe even the only!
Marvel: Marvels explains the begining of the superhumans, the whole reason to Marvels fame, mutants, supers, all of them, from the eyes of man!
The story starts with the very fist created man,
A man, who was created by doctor Phineas Thomas Horton, who reacted to oxygen whenever his skin touched it, turning to flame...but without killing him!
It goes on through the ages from a photographer's eyes as he captures the many epic battle to take place on earth.
I like the way how they did Namor, very typical looks in his eyes for his persona.
From when Namor showed up, to the first mutants, sentinels, silver surfer, Captian America, fantastic four...all from humble eyes.
Now, i wouldn't rate this to be in one of my personal favourites. It would probably give it a 6.5/10... but there is a lot of genius in it.
The artwork is well done, not cartoony and very realistic, it is also a very origional story.
The fight scenes aren't that great, its more talking. So if you can survive that, for a more intracite factual read from a diferent veiw you should probably enjoy this comic.
I don't want to write too much about this, so i will leave you with just this little recomendation.
