I dislike him, and from waht i can see...
WELL DONE DC. You have pulled me back with your New52, so sorry Marvel. You lost me. You had me for a good strong while there, but everything is getting weaker and weaker.

Hulk: tribute to how awesome he really is.

The Avengers movie is coming out soon, four more sleeps until I go to see the midnight local premier...I have to admit I am glad I don't have a 3D T.v, it just makes this kind of thing even more special.
Anyway, I figured I best catch up on a good bit of comic stuff. Seen Ironman, own Captian America, Hoping for a Hawkeeye movie to be truthful. Seen Hulk 2, but I was alot younger, 11, and only just starting to gain my comic obsession.
I had Hulk taped, so I finally watched it today. YAY ME!

When thus came out, I think I would have been 5 at the oldest...let me check... 2003 this came out. Yep, I was about 5/about to be 6. I wanted to see it, I begged my big cuzzie but all I got was "You're too young, Caitlin...Itl be scary.' my reply was 'NO!' But then again, When it first came out in Disney cartoon I cried in Peter Pan - Haters don't judge, I was 3 - so he had a point.
Anyway, this was kinda slow, but a good movie.
(Note, Avengers is going to be epic. Please, If you know any post up or email me a few Furycodes and I will send you one in return. I have only found one, which is a bugger. I cannot wait for Avengers and will probably not shut up about it until I have seen it 12t imes. Im exagerating, don't look like that.)

Hulk is a character from the Marvel Universe. He is green, (Might I add on the St. Patricks day top 10 Green Characters he came in at #1) and often shown in purple pants.
Haha, DON'T worry, I just put that in to sound unprofesional. (lol, I do realize I spelt that wrong, thats the failed suposed-to-be-amusing part)
Basically, Hulk is Bruce Banner, a scientist, who reacted to a test diferently to all the animals which it killed, because of his fathers genetic experiments. Whenever his heartbeat increases due to anger he turns into a "Massive green Rage monster" He calls the Hulk. Thats what the movie says at least. One things for sure, He was exposed to a Gamma bomb which he helped create. That is a fact. And by fact I mean as in fact of a fictional universe which is one of a few I obsess over.

I used to be unimpressed by that. All of it. Never was a Hulk fan.
But lately I keep on going from a nay to a yay.
Why, you ask?
How could you not adore that massive stinking green face, you ask?
Well, I'll tell you why!
The angrier he gets, the stronger he gets. I always thought, hay, yeayeayea, strong but come on...
I now know, that even THOR cannot beat him.
Want proof? Thor himself admits it in Fear Itself. Look it up for YOURself, you lazyarse.
Bullets don't harm him. THAT is the bit that really got me. I know it seems lame, the whole "OH, bullets wont hurt you, now Im a fan!' thingy but oh well, its true.

Hulk, like many Marvel characters, was created by Stan Lee (I love it how he pops up in all the Marvel movies!) and also with a guy named Jack Kirby. He first apeared in "The incredible Hulk #1", May 1962. Which I found kinda cool, y'know how he went straight out into his own series, no popping up elsewhere.



Basically:



Hulk is an emotional alter ego. Like how we all know; Bruce Wayne=Batman Clark Kent=Superman Bruce Banner=Hulk. Simple Math (Bitches) (Had to add that). From what I have read on wiki (yes, wiki) he was inspired by Frankinstein and Dr Jekyl and mr Hide (Interesting stoty that one.)
Dr Bruce Banner has Genius level intel. ... what a shame he has to hide from the U.S Army all the time, as the main story lines tend to go around.
One things for certian, Hulk has bee in alot of T.v series as well as comics.
He really is one of Stan Freaking Lee's greatest feats. And thats saying something...y'know...Stan Freaking Lee.

checkmate: pawn breaks

This here is something which i did not really ever expect from DC,
Published back in 2007, so a few years old now, I read this about a year or two ago and found it again and figured that it was still interesting.

Whats cool?
This is like a spy, undercover, agency type of thing. Alot more our world than DC universe save the fact that Bane shows up and one of the bishops can turn into a green flaming and flying meta. And one guy can go invisable...anyway...
The chick on the cover page is named Sasha Bordeaux. She is the black queen of an operation called checkmate, which has a king and queen for opps (black) and intel (white), as well as all the usual peices in a regular chess game. From what I have skim read in online reveiws this was weaker the the previous checkmate volume, so the series could be worthwhile checking out.
If you ever see the movie, rescent movie actually, "Tinker tailor soldier spy", slow and stero typically i would say for old people because i was bord, it is almost a bit of a spy thriller like that. Only a bit more exiting. And more violence. Nice.
What is there to say?
 Created this, and no, it is not in the New52.
This is not one of the best comics, if anything it gets a bit hard to read at some points, like most spie sorts of things it is rather slow. Also Sasha reminds me of Marvels Domino (Neena Thurman) only not as awesome.
Theres a bit of occult in there

The snake on this chapter page represents the kobra cult, which has murdered a series of people in tha same fasion, leaving rattle snakes to bite them and so on, so "pawn 502" is sent to infiltrate them.
I must admit, to describe this in one go I would call it clever. A read for more intellegent people, because this is a bit slow, complicated and not for the kids.

Sooo...
Check and Mate... I would only recomend this to anyone who likes spie movies and comics.
Then again, how could you not love comics...the good ones at least.

Batman Games.

In the year of...1939 I think... Let me check... yes, 1939 an artist named Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger created Batman, first apearing in Detective comics, in that May - don't make me say the year again.
 
Frankly, if you haven't heard of Batman, you are an infant or an idiot. He is literally one of, if not the, most famous comic book character ever.
Today, we relish the comics he stars in,everything about Batman we love... the villans, styles, art (mostly, sometimes bad) stories... one word describes the Bat... LEGEND.
To put it in New Zealand styles... Bloody Legend bro.

Now, today we not only love the comics, but also the merchandise... Whoops thats probably spelt wrong. Oh well, besides this thing needs auto correct anyway...
Like I was saying... the figureines...spelt wrong and games.

Just got my hands on this

I would rate the x-force about 2.5 stars and legacy 2.
And honestly, check my last posts...i love x-force. But this was disapointing!
The art was ok, some better than others, Both the books had this in the front:

I liked this, the whole jumping out at you feeling and all... its good.
Overall, the storyline : Poor
Art: ok
Characters: expected better
creativity: good enough
Overall marks, low.
I have only ever looked at one other X-men: Legacy, aftermath, and in the end took it off my must buy list because it was so poor. I do not like Legacy and will not recomend it to anyone. I just wasted $30. That is the first comic I have ever EVER said that about. No kidding.
Anyway, i'll show you a few bits i can find on here.
This is Selene. She's the bad guy. I like the way she looks, the kind of dark and cool goth style.
I love Warpath, but he was not drawn to  be...how do i put this... He wasn't as sexy as usual. Or the kind of warpath I love...if anything he was a bit...sulky... Sad...
X23 was barely shown. Wolverine was hardly shown too now i think of it. As a matter of fact they only showed little bits of each characters, and had more on the villans, which I nonrmally love but it was all brooding. The violence was no where neae what i hoped either.

It took me a day to figure out that the third finger holding up her head was infact a finger, not a lump on the babys head.
Settings

All very dark, sometimes it was hard to make out the drawings because it was so dark.settings were well drawn though.

Legacy
Magneto/rogue. I have nothing against this, but in this volume it was bad.
It was broing. And not much happening in a sense of things.

The only thing i liked was seeing Blink and Wither...



I also liked seeing the whole elixer and wither hate thing. That was good.

What else did i like?
Well, I do NOT liek to be disapointed when it comes to comics. And I was.
I mean, honestly...

Lois London aka Dazlers crazy sister's creepy smile. SHUDDER.
Also...why is this familiar? Oh, thats right! Other Xmen such as Scott Summers have sibbling toubles. Alex hates Scott, Lois hates Dazler... and i hate her creepy smile.

Destiny back and searching out blidfold. I like blindfold. She was... i don't know. Made out to be less powerful than she actually is?

Emo Zombies. I hoped for more. "don;t worry, we'll be dead again soon" or something along those lines, she says.

Did i mention that Wolfsbane is pregnent to the wolf prince and the baby, being a god, is too strong and kiling her so her sacrifices his own life, to bring back elexer, to heal her? Yea, well, it happened. Unfortunatly i wasn't suprised as in Uncanny X-force vol.1 there is a timeline at the back, which  i read  obviously.

Anyway, what can i say?
Marvel, Dc is looking bettwer and better with all the New 52 stuff i've seen... I'm staring to drift into 50/50 terortoty guys. Don't look so suprised.
