The best people... Top 10

Hello world.
I just thought i could highlight a few of my favourite characters here today. These are some of the best people in the DC / Marvel Universes.

Firstly, lets just go through the list...
Obviously

How the HELL could this legend NOT be on your list. Wolvie comes in the top 10 for shizzles.

X23. Another for shizzle. Incase you have not seen my previous posts, she's awesome

Raven. When you look at her past in teen titans, the scripts sucked. I have no idea why, but i've always liked something about her...god knows what it is but I hope that DC does bring her back and make her cooler...as in maybe let her go around killing demons or something. At least let her fight, we know she can.

As of reading X-force Psylocke has made it to my list. I like the killers. Hee hee. Oh bolox what is wrong with me...

Deadpool...the merc with a mouth. You have got to love this guy. He is another top 10. For shizz.

Deathstroke the terminator. Probably one of DC's better villans.

Another good villan.

Theres just something about the goddammed Batman you have to respect borderline enjoy...

Gambit... He's cool.

Domino. Read this Civil war comic... I knew it was her! And then Sex and Violence and began to really respect her stylez.

So yea, theres a group of 10 Comic characters I love, you have gotta look out for them!

Why?

Why do those of us who crave the feeling of reading, owning and knowing of comics to be as strong as it is? Why do some of us go near point of obsession from our addictions just over books?
Its not because we're simple, or that we have nothing better to do. Its not because we like looking at pictures because we're simple and cannot read.
Frankly, simple people do not read whatsoever, at least those whom I know, and those few other diehard comic lovers who I am freinds with...being only 2.5 of them (.5 because one of them only reads DC) are some of the most intelegent people in the school.
The thing for me is a mixture of things.
Today's question is one I had to answer: why do comics mean so much to us? Sure, if i'm lucky maybe one, two or three people would ever read this. But i'm just putting it out there.
I have an obsessive personality. I get really overly involved in certian things. I am a musician. A sportswoman, hockey and athletics, shotput sprints and so on, an obsessive listener - I replay certian songs and bands way, way WAY to much aparntly. I get good grades in school, my bad grades are better than alot of people, and I love books.
When i came to high school, which is year 7-13 where i go, I found a comic book sitting on a shelf. I was only used to reading Simpsons when i was young so this was new to me. It was a Teen Titans, beast boys and girls. It looked stupid. When i was little i used to love the programe but banned myself from watching it because it was stupid and it embarresed me to think if someone knew I watched it. I have a serious phobia of mind readers, even though they don't exist. Its just that i'm easy to guess.
A week later I got out, from the school library, the first volume in the Teen Titans series.

Here it is. A kids game.
I LOVED it.
From then on, I was reading comics like CRAZY. Seriously, I couldn't get enough of them! I was becoming addicted. First chance I got, I was buying them...much to my parents horror. Every time I would go shopping I would buy comics. I started out with those Ultimate X-men volumes...

I own volumes 2,3,4,9, and15, plus I've read the one above once and volumes 8 and 14.
Sure, they suck to me now. I don't really re-read thses ones as much as my others. But I surely don't regret buying them...I do regret giving mum a list on what ones I want though because her idea of a nice one is the most innocent one she can find. Uch. Supergirl. NEVER AGAIN!
Anyway...
Year by year, wow...its already been three years since then!... I have slowly become more and more obsessed with comics.
Now, as I started
WHY?
For me...
Its a universe where anything is possible. Something happens you can start again. Stat over. Sure, things are hard but really everything is perfect, or going to be perfect soon for the characters. The whole thing is like one big, long day dream you never want to wake from.
Theres love, hate, war, voilence, peace, families, death, despair, hope, Hope (uch), its all so totally diferent to what we know.
The thing with my daydreams is that you just have everything play as you feel it. A bit like David Xavier, only everything is just in your own mind. You control it all, and it all sprouts back to comics.
Wonderful
Perfect
Comics.
An entire universe created and put on pages.
So really, why do we love them?
They're a break from the real world.
Lets face it, someties the real world sucks. Mayebe if we do hide away, our faces burrried in books and obsessing over things that only exist in likewise minds of comic lovers then sure, things are better. But thats just until the time we switch out.
I'm not encouraging people to hid from their lives in books, i'm just saying...we love the idea of it all. We can connect to the characters, be wrapped in by the storyline. Heck, thanks to brilliant drawings we can even watch them from above, its like were sitting in a private seat in heaven watching over. And I don't even beleive in heaven. We understand. Its like we're actually listening to them. We feel for them. We want it all to be real until the second we put down the book, slip it back into its spot on the massive, alphabeticalized bookshelf and walk off back to work, school, or whatever it is we do with our pathetic little lives that we snap back.
You cannot say you do not get tied to these comics. You cannot say you don't wish that you could know more. You cannot say you do not love them.
This, people. This is why we love comics.
They are our sancturary of a fakeness we all love. A want and a need. They are a part of our lives beholding information we crave, just to make it that little bit more real.
Can you blame us?
We love our comics. Thats just us. I hope oneday, if you actually have read this and are'nt just getting on here from google images to check out my scans I copy and past from the internet, that you know what i'm talking about.

Back to the "What if's"

As I mentioned earlier. What if.
Those characters who have gone all good/bad twisted/warped/sane/wrong/right etc. ... What if they stayed bad. I personally have hopes that The outlaws do as they like, e.g steal, or so on, as they clean up crime. That'd be cool. I guess...
But anyway... what if some other characters went bad... what if one of them was a key influencial character...?
Once again, this is alot like a mind game thingy. Its just me thinking and writing it out. Putting it online, like a veiwable diary no one cares about. Truth is I only do it because one day I hope to find someone who loves coics as much as I do...I don't know that much, i'm not that nerdy just someone chatable.
So...
What if someone was bad instead of good? Like for example...

Charles Xavier.
The sad part is it took me aaaages to find a good pic of him that WASN'T from the movies, and this was the best i could get. People, he may be ugly but he has a brain that might as well be the size of his whole head, and incase you've forgotten he revolutioized mutant kind (for good).
If you think of "X-men: age of X" you can get a vague idea of what could, I repeat COULD, happen with out him. Then again one of his son's personalities suited up as Moria MacTaggert had screwed everything up so I do repeat could with a distantly on the end. Without Charles what would/could have happened?
I love it how in fiction, and realy when you think of the world in my twisted point of veiw, its all "could and would". Y'know, things can change. Also I love how theres all the posibilities in fiction. Then theres also the "butterfly effect" i remember Pixie calling it in one comic, one thing happenes and causes a chain reaction. Like, maybe one person sneazes, germs come out, one person gets sick, misses work, his/her workplace is damaged, he/she is lucky to be alive, mental revolution, starts to do good to comunity because he/she feels thankful, helps someone become something else, etc. A bit like that old poem in front of the JSA: the Nail...for want of a nail a shoe was lost, leads to horse, knight, battle, loss, read the poen yourself I can't be bothered using google to see if I can actually remember it right.
Wow. I'm so off topic...
ANYWAY:
What if, instead of NO Charles...we have BAD Charles. What if he did work alongside Magneto?
  Photobucket
Well, we'd be screwed (though i am quietly confident that if all the fiction was real, i'd sooo be a mutant) seeing as we're all human. If charles did go with magneto, the Mutants would have gotten into NONE of the shit thay have. And that would suck, cuz, Y'know...no storyline for us...

Then, what if someone was GOOD?
Lex Luthor?

For one, superman would have made bitch city out of Metropolis. Frankly, I hate superman. But then again, thats just me, and i'm a weird one.
So really, just think...
Sure. The companies muck up from time to time. A series gets a bung author *for example X23, which i am still sour over* and flops just that little bit. Or a company gets really proud over a reaaly, reeeeaaaly, realy bad hero. Like DC and how they always show Superman. SCREW THAT!
But when you think about it, we like things the way we are. Good charles, bad luthor. That kind of thing. We love a swap, but we're always loyal to one.
Thats just the way how I see it at least...
I hope you see where I'm coming from.
Well, I havn't used very many pictures here have I?
So, here are a few "Lets be thankful's". We can really be happy with these guys the way they are:

 The Joker...

Lets be glad he's not some corny hero. Yep. I'm thankful.

As much of a doochebag as he comes across as, Cyclops was important to one of my favourite storylines: tha part after M-DAY.

Don't you ever EVER change Wolverine! <3

Lets make it Even and Add one more villan...
And make him a DC as well.

There we go... Deathstroke. A pain in the ass for the Teen titans, Gotham, JSA...and anyone he gets payed to kill basically. Dude...I love fictionary Mercanries!
Well, that best be all.
Peace.
Love.
Comics.
God, I better not stick to doing that. Uch, I swear i'm not actually as lame or nerdy as I come across. I just have an obsessive personality. Hee hee.

Nightcrawler tribute

May, 1975 writer Len Wein and artsist Dave Cockrum created a mutant who would become one of the most famous of all Xmen...he is:

NIGHTCRAWLER.

He has the mutant abilities of Teleportation, night vision (enhanced), superhuman acrobatics and agility, as well as the abilities to blend with shadows and stick to walls. He has also had training for fencing and martical arts. HIs skin is blue, he has a tail, and two toes and three fingers.

His real name is Kurt Wagner: a German Catholic *later inhis days alot more vocal about his faith* who (in the comic series) is stated to be from a small village called Witxeldorf. Obviously German.
Funnily enough, at first he was regected by DC. *cough* Dumass much!
For some history: a gypsy woman claimed to have found his mother and father dead and Kurt to be an abandoned infant shortly after he was born, but later when that was questioned it turned out to be that his mother was MISTIQUE....

 This lady,,, aka Raven Darkholme...

And his father to be a demonic warlord.
Shame for the parents, he's a religeous, kind lovable guy.

This tribute is set up because i was sad when i saw him die, 2010 in secod coming trying to save Hope (X-force #26)

So here he is:

And here is the reaction to his death,

I was alot like Hope, only a bit more... AWWWWW... bolox.

And here is the sad moment:

He teleports rogue and Hope across the country in short jumps, is tierd and stops for a seccie.
Bastion shows up. mwap mwaaaap.
He's knocked cold and so is Rogue, Bation goes for Hope but Kurt Prays to god for strength, and teleports in and iwth his last bit of strength teleports them back. With a cost.
So heres the cover of the chapter after he dies:

Don't blame you cyk, don't blame you.
With his final strength he wispers he beleives in Hope. But since he's dead, wolverine is really, really pissed. They were best freinds accourding to Wolvie, so he wasn't reall into the whole Hope thing.
Lets think of him in his glory days:
From begginging

to middle

to end.

RIP Kurt. If you do come back *real you* please don't let the story line be lame and desperate, you deserve better.

What if...

Yea, i've been doing alot of posting today. I have alot on my mind. To be fair i have a busy week, there are two days at most i have time to post about comic books in hope someone out there like me will read and be thankful that the google search actually found something along the lines of real comics and people not the fan fiction and porno comic drawings. *To those  who do go around posting fan drawn porno of characters: WTF!*
So here is another idea i had... wait for it....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1tSkkbAWp8

As Sheldon Cooper says above: If if's and buts were candy and nuts, then we'd all have a very mery Christmas.
I like the way how he says it too.

So here is my other idea...
When daydreaming...which I probably need to stop doing...about my favourite people...the sad part is they're always fiction and 99.999% of the time from DC or Marvel... I considored a few good characters to be bad.

It has hapened alot, with alot of Characters. People do go good/bad alot. For Example:

Action figure NOT included. And no, I don't do action figures. I read stories and make up my own in my head, not play it out with comic book character figures.
This kind of thing happens often, in both DC and Marvel, good goes bad then oftern goes good again.
Here was have Nightwing when he went bad as Renegade. And yea, he's really making a deal with Deathstroke the Terminator.

Another titan former teen titan...
Evil Raven. She is a hybrid, deamon/human and often goes bad. SHe can't help it and when she is in control you only ever see her hurt deamons. She cries alot when she knows how too as well.

Sticking to the "titans" thingy i have going here...
These guys all used to be good. After Jason *red hood* got reincarnated he went bad. After red arrows daughter died he went into a druggie frenzy followed by going bad. And Starfire...was unexpected but due to the last story line in "Titans" she was going agro as.

This guy here
My buddy Gambit
was once a mass murderer. Last i saw he was "sightseeing" with x-23.

Speaking of who:
A genetically engenered killer gone good.ish. She has her ways...

This *skank* started bad but ended out with Xmen (and in Scottys bed)

Overall a good guy working for his race but...well... read the comics. Y'know. Once again he has his way.

When ever Lexie darlin' daddy *half* flicks a switch superboy goes all badclone.goodclone. on the teen titans. Only happened once though. Then he died.

Catwoman started bad but she went good.

Who else did i miss? Alot. Thats my point. GTG. comicgirlx out.

Marvel: sort things out don't quit!

Dear Marvel, and anyone else who actually does read this stuff:
X23 has, aparantly, been cancelled. The series at least. In case you are thinking...who TF is that? I did a post on her history previously. It is below.
Frankly, in my opinion Laura Kinney, aka X23, is brilliant. As i've already said. She is one of my All-Time-Favourite-Characters.

Look cool?
It should.

So anyway... the author of her series was Marjorie Lui, or some spelling way for it anyway.
The story line was kinda mediocre. It could bt worse but with a character like X it had the posibility to be BIG. I mean, wolverine as far as i know is one of, if not the, most loved character(s) of all Marvel/time. And it is obvious why.
He's badass. He does as he pleases. He's cool. He has that feeling about him like a tomcat, he owns the place! He gets girls. He has been bad. He's himself.
The whole thing on "finding who she is" obviously didn't work out for Lui cuz she. is. KOed (I hope.).
In X-force wolverine has givin in around about and is fine with who he is. Deal with it.
So. Why let laura go off with gambit, who is nothing at all like her, and well... let hte series flop?
YOU TELL ME!

X23

Who is she?

ITS X23!

But seriously...
This character was created in ...2001 i beleive? Tell me if i'm wrong. I've got "The killing dream" in her own series and a few other comics featuring her but i'm still working towards getting more on her back ground.
From what i know:
When Wolverine escaped weapon X the idea of a mutant killing machine didn't follow. Thus, scientists used his DNA to create a female clone, born by Doctor Kinney of their department.

As you can see here: Wolverine. X23. They're pretty alike.
She was raised, and i'm guessing she was pretty much treated like an animal. Forced into killing, alot, and alsorts. Her mother was weak from my veiw, and the only thing she ever did for her "daughter" was read her stories; such as pinochio (she isn't a real girl, so that kinda does have a point to it.)
Turned out that when wolvie escaped weapon x, he killed basically everyone: including the scientist "Dale Rice". Decades later Rice's son Zander picked up where his dad left off. Their main plan: Clone wolverine and use his clone as an assassin for hire.But. There is always that but... their genetic material was damaged, the Scientist Sarah Kinney could only salvage the X Chromosone, so she created a female clone.
The 23rd embryo was viable and Sarah was put into serving as the surrogate mother for the project: "X23".
The clone grew up in the facility and was dehumanized to keep her from gainig a sense of self. A the age of seven she was put into martial arts training. Soon after weapon X developed a trigger sense inside her that would go off and send her into a crazy killing spree. She developed claws in her hands, but unlike wolverine the middle one is on her feet. The facility coated them in admantium. (In case you haven't seen Xmen origins: wolverine....the admantium process is NOT pretty).
Zander hated wolverine and took it out on X23. he developed, what the timeline in the bacl of X23 vol. 1 calls "An indesrtuctable sadist" called Kimura, who punished X for any mistake. Including the tiny ones. X began to cut herself, but naturally her healing factor fixed over this.
Her combat and spy training intensified and her first mission was taken out with ease as she assassinated the presidential candidate Greg Johnson by posing as a disabled child.
For 3 years X killed targets all over the world. She had no emotion. No moral, or feelings towards right and wrong. She was like a machine, basically. She became one of King Pins Fav. assassins. But on a mission oposing AIM's lab Zander left her behind, and the AIM troops nearly killed her. When she finally did make it back, Zander lied and KImura punished her (agaaaaiiinnn). Sarah learnt that her neice was missing and got X to help her find her by breking her out. Zander was PISSED.
Zander gave her a few more missions of his own accord, her mother was horrified. They found out that Zander had begun Gestantion of the embryo's X24 and X50. Her mother gave her a final mission: destroy Zander and the embryo's.
X beat the living crap out of her lifelong tormenter...anf BADLY. She left him for dead. Then blew up the lab. But Zander had planted a trigger sense in Sarah. When X came out of her berserker rage her mother was bleeding in the snow: but she finally gave X a real name... Laura.
X went to live with Sarah's neice, who she had previously helped: Megan, and her mother Debbie, but Debbies boyfreind was a facility spy. He dosed her tea with trigger sense, and spilt it. She killed him.
Kimura showed up to their house and X sent Megan and Debbie away with fake ID's. Then she saught Wolverine out and they fought until she calmed down. Then captian America showed up and arrested her for multiple murders. He soon realized she was just another victim and let her go.
She was lost on the street and working for a pimp "Zebra daddy", doing tricks for guys whho liked to be cut. Then one (John) killed himself, she was blamed, ran with a group of others and killed everyone including Zebra daddy who came after her.
X killed some gangsters after a freind of hers and go dumped in Xmen's custody, though she desperatly needed social work.
After M day Wolverine convinced her to come back to the Xmen, but she scared most of the remaining students. Hellion and Miss Frost were particularily mean and Frost wanted her gone. But when it came to deciding on the new Xmen Cyclops maded sure she made the cut.

Featured in this New Xmen volume.
Reverend Stryker bombed the school kiling 42 former mutants and saved her roomate Dust, then also prooved that the sentinel NImrod was with Stryker. X was badly injured so Hellion got her to Elixir the healer. She started to develop a crush on hellion.
Things went along from time to time mission to mission with the Xmen. (She joined Xforce as well but Wolverine changed his mind at the end of the crisis when Hope returned so she could be herself and make her own decisions. )
At one later poitn the facility recaptured X and Kimura cut off her arm. BUt later he berserker rage was triggered and she killed everyone, except Kimura who got away. Her arm grew back and she had her admantium replanted.
Currently X is inher own series, Beggining with "X23: the kiling dream" as she goes about her "life". Note this first comic is where all my facts are coming from.
Power notes: X has hightened healing (possibly better than wolverine because she had oftern said to him "you heal too slow", Acrobatics, Admantium enlaced CLAWS so skeleton unknown if it was really done like wolverines, She is freakishly well trained, thorough, merciless, and has her trigger sense. She has hightened everything, and though she is much like wolverine, not quite the same. She has a claw coming from her toe (i love the move she does on Rockslide in the big battle in The new Xmen pic i featured somewhere, she flips over and buts his arm off in two places with her feet. NIIIIICEEEE) and two from her hands. In ways she might actualy be stronger than wolverine. Note to self...i must have to set up a debate on that!
PEOPLE WHO READ THIS:  MIND BATTLE TIME! WHO WOULD WIN? X23 vs WOLVERINE!
Now just to be nice...
Let me add in a few images below of X23:

X in her "berserker killing mode" from trigger sense.

 Her claws.

Full pic of her from new xmen volume 2.

 X when she was young.

 X23 with hellion.

 X with Zander's creation Kimura.

Cover to "X23: the killing dream". Good stuff, i liked how there was a big detailed timeline about her written from Wolverines veiw. The story was not quite as good as I had hoped though. I'm a big X23 fan and she need to not be...how to I put this... Wuffified...she is kick- ass tear- your -guts- over- the- floor brilliant. Let her be who she was vreated to be rather than searching for herself. Wolverine doesn't fight it. Let her be 50/50!

"women of marvel" pic. Seen this one around a few times... at the back of some other comics i think...

X and her new partner Gambit in her own series talking about death... the pair of them ar so calm about it i love that!

X and gambit. This is a fairly typical cover when it comes to the claws.

Dear world:

Meet X23.
Thats the name. Don't wear it out.
This i brilliant.
